Sunday Traditional Swingers

This tournament has always been a success since we started running events at Phoenix Beach! We got to a point where this was just what you did on Sundays! These were also our most competitive draws, as it requires a lot of talent to play. Sunday Swingers brings out the best of the best! Find your partner and sign up! Each pair will get a drink of their choice, or they can share one of the mimosa specials, provided by Phoenix Beach!!

With the traditional format, sign ups are guy/girl pairs. Each pair plays 4 games with 4 different pairs, against 4 different teams. 2 of the games will be traditional mens height net, and 2 of the games will be reverse coed ladies height net. After pool play, each pair will be matched with the pair that is closest to them in overall record and point differential for bracket play. If you win, you stay together, but if you lose, you will be randomly paired with another pair that lost their first round game.

As far as game play, on the reverse coed games, guys cannot jump serve, and cannot attack the ball downwards or even flat. If a guy sends the ball over the net, it must have an upward trajectory at the beginning of the attack. Although, keep in mind that guys are allowed to block guys, but it has to be a complete blocking action. Other than that, we play at a BB/A level for beach volleyball rules.
