DESCRIPTION:HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ AND LANAE!!\nIt’s time for some birthday\n!!Fast Twos!!\nNo Partner Needed\, just come to party with these two lovely ladies celebrate another year of blessing our lives! \nWhat is fast twos\, you ask? It is a fun variation of side out King Of The Court doubles that you’ve all most likely seen on the FIVB circuit! Also\, it’s Liz Eddys favorite favorite format of volleyball! And we all know Lanae loves her some doubles!! \nEveryone signs up as an individual and you play timed rounds of doubles with different partners almost every time you step on the sand! Reloads allowed on missed serves during pool play! \nPlayers score (or lose) points if any of the following happens: \n\n“Side out” on the King/Queen side (both players get a point)\nServe a one touch or no touch Ace! (Server gets a point)\nBlocker gets a one touch or no touch block from the serve side. (Blocker gets a point)\nMiss 2 serves in a row loses a point for that player.\nANY missed serve in the last 3 minutes of a round\, K/Q side gets a point!!!\n\nPool play will consist of every player playing 2 timed rounds of fast twos with two different pools. After the two rounds of pool play\, players will be seeded in order of how they finished pool play and proceed into elimination rounds. The elimination rounds will be timed rounds based on how many players are in the pool and at the end of the round\, the bottom player/s will be eliminated from each group (eliminations based on how many players are signed up). Each round will have eliminations until we get to our final “Fast Twos” pool of the top 7 players\, which will be the championship round! We will crown our champion when the first player reaches 21 points!! \nThis format is very strenuous with a lot of volleyball being played with many different partners. Let’s see who can reign supreme! \n\nCheck in 930AM (earlier start because Lanae didn’t request work off 🙄)\nPlay begins at 10AM\nPrizes for our top 7 players with our top player  taking home a brand new OPTX ball and AVP backpack with a full field!! Second place will get their choice of an OPTX ball or backpack\, 3rd place will win a custom Phoenix Beach Hoodie. 4-7th will win Phoenix Beach tees or tanks!\n$34 per player payable via Venmo @phoenixbeachvb\, Zelle 480-249-2242 or cash. We are going to do one of our more popular Sunday formats\, Traditional Swingers! \nSign up as a coed pair\, and stick with your partner all night long! Each pair will play 3 total games\, with each game being played on both mens nets and ladies nets\, with 3 different pairings!! After pool play\, you’ll be paired up with your first (and hopefully last!) teammates based on your pool play result for a fun filled double elimination bracket! If you lose\, you get another chance by partnering up with a different coed to team up with in the elimination bracket! All bracket play games are played on both net heights\, with rules applying for each format. The highest seeded team in the winners bracket gets to choose what format they want to start on! As teams drop into the elimination bracket\, the highest seed\, or the latest team to drop into the elimination bracket gets choice of format to start. \nWe are taking 16 pairs! \nCheck in is 6pm\, play begins at 630 sharp! SUMMARY:The Lodders Fundraiser Friday Night Draw
DESCRIPTION:As most of you know\, we recently lost a beloved member of our volleyball family\, Cory Lodder\, who passed away suddenly on July 22. Cory was a loving husband\, father and such a good friend to so many people in our community. Let’s remember him doing something we know he loved doing and where most of us met him\, on the sand. One thing about Cory\, if you ever met him\, you knew if he was on your team for a tournament\, you knew the drinks were going to be flowing and you were going to be having an amazing time. That’s how we all will remember him. \nCheck in for this event is 6pm\, play will begin at 630. We will not have a set entry fee for this event\, but feel free to pay whatever amount works for you. We want everyone who was close to him to come out and celebrate his life with us. All proceeds will go to the Lodder family. \nPlayer pool will be capped at 40 players for this event. \nFirst place will receive a free entry to a future FND event at Phoenix Beach. DESCRIPTION:Red White and Brew Ace Tournament\nDid I say “ACE”? Yes I did! This will be Independence Day themed so be sure to wear your red white and blue!! It will be THE PLACE TO BE! Start putting your best 6’s team together for this epic battle\, 2 female minimum per team. \nCheck in at 6pm\, play begins at 630! Each team will play 3-4 pool play games to 25 followed by a single elimination bracket. All games are win by 2\, capped at 27. \n$240 per team of 6\, and the entry fee includes 4 buckets of adult beverages! \nSign up as a full team\, partial team or as a free agent! \nPrizes for first place will be a specialized 4th of July ACE Champion hoodie and an OPTX Volleyball! Second place will get a special 4th of July Ace apparel item of their choice. \nWhat is “ACE”? It’s a volleyball game with a little twist. An ACE is when a team scores a point on their opponent without any one person on that team getting a touch on the ball. Typically when an ACE is scored\, the team must exit the court and drink. But\, this is a hybrid ACE event. All the fun\, little less on the requirements. If you haven’t played before\, pay attention. \nRules are as follows\, Very minimal rules at that: \n1. Drinking is only a suggestion. We are not promoting any drinking. Be responsible. \n2. When an ACE is scored\, we will NOT be chasing the ball (as opposed to the normal rules; if the serving team recovers the ball on an ACE\, they can serve as soon as someone steps on the court). Instead\, we will be playing Rock/Paper/Scissors. \n3. When ACE’d\, one player from each team will play 1 round of Rock Paper Scissors to see who gets possession of the ball. The team that scored the ACE has to win twice to get the ball. The team that got ACE’d has to win once to keep the ball. If you lose the Rock Paper Scissors battle\, all players must exit the court. Those who choose to partake in the drinking festivities will then do so. EACH PLAYER WILL HAVE THEIR OWN DRINK. NO SHARING (Unless you’re ok with sharing\, then carry on). If at any point the serving team has the ball\, and the team that is off the court has a player step on the court\, the serving team can serve immediately. So don’t step on the court until everyone that is choosing to drink has finished and the entire team is ready to play. \n4. Teams must rotate. Back row players can attack the ball from anywhere on the court. There is no “back row” attacking rule. \n5. For safety\, aggressive net violations will be called. Be careful. We don’t want anyone to get hurt. Minor net contact is fine\, but don’t get your whole arm caught in the net. \n6. Blocking serves is LEGAL. Lifts are LEGAL. Doubles are LEGAL. Diving lift/throws are LEGAL (to keep the play alive). Slight contact open hand tips are legal. Grabbing and throwing the ball as an attack is NOT ALLOWED. \n7. Games are played to 25\, win by 2. \n8. Have fun and be safe. The main goal is to get everyone together and have a great time playing volleyball! \n*buckets will be a set list to choose from*

DESCRIPTION:“His and Hers” Volleyball! Everyone gets in on the action! Get ready for some beer\, music and always a great time! We can take up to 32 players for this event\, 16 guys and 16 ladies. This weeks format is half mens nets and half ladies nets! Check in (player arrival) is 6PM\, and play begins at 630PM. This event is for all players C level and up! Any requests to play together will be accommodated\, as long as it’s not an unfairly strong team. \nThe cost is only $30 per player\, payable via the following options:\nVenmo (phoenixbeachvb)\npaypal (phoenixbeachvb@gmail.com)\nCashApp ($phoenixbeachvb)\nZelle (480-249-2242) \nAll players/teams will get 3 pool play games followed by a double elimination bracket play tournament!
