Thank goodness it wasn’t me! Erik Denmark\, our wondrous champion\, will be choosing his punishment for this FND! Don’t be nice Erik\, it’s Chris after all. He’s been through worse. \nAlso\, in the spirit of Fantasy Football\, we are going to do something similar to a fantasy football draft! We will have captains for each team that will pick their teams from the available players! Captains will be chosen\, and picks will be made approximately an hour before check in. \nCheck in for this event will be 6PM with play beginning at 630PM. Finals should begin at approximately 1AM\, finish up around 130AM. All players will get 3 pool play games to 21\, no cap. Bracket play games will not be capped. DESCRIPTION:Red White and Brew Ace Tournament\nDid I say “ACE”? Yes I did! This will be Independence Day themed so be sure to wear your red white and blue!! It will be THE PLACE TO BE! Start putting your best 6’s team together for this epic battle\, 2 female minimum per team. \nCheck in at 5pm\, play begins at 530! Each team will play 3-4 pool play games to 25 followed by a single elimination bracket. All games are win by 2\, capped at 27. \n$300 per team of 6\, and the entry fee includes your first 2 adult beverages per player! \nSign up as a full team\, partial team or as a free agent! \nPrizes for first place will be a specialized 4th of July ACE Champion hoodie and an OPTX Volleyball! Second place will get a special 4th of July Ace apparel item of their choice. \nWhat is “ACE”? It’s a volleyball game with a little twist. An ACE is when a team scores a point on their opponent without any one person on that team getting a touch on the ball. Typically when an ACE is scored\, the team must exit the court and drink. But\, this is a hybrid ACE event. All the fun\, little less on the requirements. If you haven’t played before\, pay attention. \nRules are as follows\, Very minimal rules at that: \n1. Drinking is only a suggestion. We are not promoting any drinking. Be responsible. \n2. When an ACE is scored\, we will NOT be chasing the ball (as opposed to the normal rules; if the serving team recovers the ball on an ACE\, they can serve as soon as someone steps on the court). Instead\, we will be playing Rock/Paper/Scissors. \n3. When ACE’d\, one player from each team will play 1 round of Rock Paper Scissors to see who gets possession of the ball. The team that scored the ACE has to win twice to get the ball. The team that got ACE’d only has to win once to keep the ball. If the team that got aced loses the Rock Paper Scissors battle\, all players must exit the court. Those who choose to partake in the drinking festivities will then do so. If at any point while the serving team has the ball\, and the team that is off the court has a player step on the court\, the serving team can serve immediately. So don’t step on the court until everyone that is choosing to drink has finished and the entire team is ready to play\, unless you’re thirsty of course \n4. Teams must rotate. Back row players can attack the ball from anywhere on the court. There is no “back row” attacking rule. \n5. For safety\, aggressive net violations will be called. Be careful. We don’t want anyone to get hurt. Minor net contact is fine\, but don’t get your whole arm caught in the net. \n6. Blocking serves is LEGAL. Lifts are LEGAL. Doubles are LEGAL. Diving lift/throws are LEGAL (to keep the play alive). Slight contact open hand tips are legal. Grabbing and throwing the ball as an attack is NOT ALLOWED. \n7. Games are played to 25\, win by 2. \n8. Have fun and be safe. The main goal is to get everyone together and have a great time playing volleyball! \n*buckets will be a set list to choose from*

All games will be played on doubles lines for some high octane offense\, long rallies\, and most definitely some amazing plays! \nCheck in is 530PM\, play begins at 6. Each team will play 3 pool play games to 21\, cap at 23\, followed by a double elimination bracket.
