An ACE is when a team scores a point on their opponent without any one person on that team getting a touch on the ball. Typically when an ACE is scored\, the team must exit the court and drink. But\, this is a hybrid ACE event. All the fun\, little less on the requirements. If you haven’t played before\, pay attention. \nRules are as follows\, Very minimal rules at that: \n1. Drinking is only a suggestion. We are not promoting any drinking. Be responsible. \n2. When an ACE is scored\, we will NOT be chasing the ball (as opposed to the normal rules; if the serving team recovers the ball on an ACE\, they can serve as soon as someone steps on the court). Instead\, we will be playing Rock/Paper/Scissors. \n3. When ACE’d\, one player from each team will play 1 round of Rock Paper Scissors to see who gets possession of the ball. The team that scored the ACE has to win twice to get the ball. The team that got ACE’d only has to win once to keep the ball. If the team that got aced loses the Rock Paper Scissors battle\, all players must exit the court. Those who choose to partake in the drinking festivities will then do so. If at any point while the serving team has the ball\, and the team that is off the court has a player step on the court\, the serving team can serve immediately. So don’t step on the court until everyone that is choosing to drink has finished and the entire team is ready to play\, unless you’re thirsty of course \n4. Teams must rotate. Back row players can attack the ball from anywhere on the court. There is no “back row” attacking rule. \n5. For safety\, aggressive net violations will be called. Be careful. We don’t want anyone to get hurt. Minor net contact is fine\, but don’t get your whole arm caught in the net. \n6. Blocking serves is LEGAL. Lifts are LEGAL. Doubles are LEGAL. Diving lift/throws are LEGAL (to keep the play alive). Slight contact open hand tips are legal. Grabbing and throwing the ball as an attack is NOT ALLOWED. \n7. Games are played to 25\, win by 2. \n8. Have fun and be safe. The main goal is to get everyone together and have a great time playing volleyball! \n*buckets will be a set list to choose from*

This event will be a BFF format Sunday Swingers! Sign up with your same sex BFF for a high-energy\, good times volleyball tournament to help send Team Phoenix to Austin this May! We’re rallying the community to support our squads as they compete against top teams from across the U.S.! We are sending 5 men’s & 5 women’s teams to Austin where they will be playing teams from different cities in a college style format! \n📍 When & Where: \n🗓 Sunday April 27th @ RTO Sullivans in Scottsdale | \n⏰ Check-in: 10 AM | First Serve: 10:30 AM \n💲 $40 per player ($80 per pair) \n🏆 Top 2 teams win awesome prizes!
