DESCRIPTION:Red White and Brew Ace Tournament\nDid I say “ACE”? Yes I did! This will be Independence Day themed so be sure to wear your red white and blue!! It will be THE PLACE TO BE! Start putting your best 6’s team together for this epic battle\, 2 female minimum per team. \nCheck in at 6pm\, play begins at 630! Each team will play 3-4 pool play games to 25 followed by a single elimination bracket. All games are win by 2\, capped at 27. \n$240 per team of 6\, and the entry fee includes 4 buckets of adult beverages! \nSign up as a full team\, partial team or as a free agent! \nPrizes for first place will be a specialized 4th of July ACE Champion hoodie and an OPTX Volleyball! Second place will get a special 4th of July Ace apparel item of their choice. \nWhat is “ACE”? It’s a volleyball game with a little twist. An ACE is when a team scores a point on their opponent without any one person on that team getting a touch on the ball. Typically when an ACE is scored\, the team must exit the court and drink. But\, this is a hybrid ACE event. All the fun\, little less on the requirements. If you haven’t played before\, pay attention. \nRules are as follows\, Very minimal rules at that: \n1. Drinking is only a suggestion. We are not promoting any drinking. Be responsible. \n2. When an ACE is scored\, we will NOT be chasing the ball (as opposed to the normal rules; if the serving team recovers the ball on an ACE\, they can serve as soon as someone steps on the court). Instead\, we will be playing Rock/Paper/Scissors. \n3. When ACE’d\, one player from each team will play 1 round of Rock Paper Scissors to see who gets possession of the ball. The team that scored the ACE has to win twice to get the ball. The team that got ACE’d has to win once to keep the ball. If you lose the Rock Paper Scissors battle\, all players must exit the court. Those who choose to partake in the drinking festivities will then do so. EACH PLAYER WILL HAVE THEIR OWN DRINK. NO SHARING (Unless you’re ok with sharing\, then carry on). If at any point the serving team has the ball\, and the team that is off the court has a player step on the court\, the serving team can serve immediately. So don’t step on the court until everyone that is choosing to drink has finished and the entire team is ready to play. \n4. Teams must rotate. Back row players can attack the ball from anywhere on the court. There is no “back row” attacking rule. \n5. For safety\, aggressive net violations will be called. Be careful. We don’t want anyone to get hurt. Minor net contact is fine\, but don’t get your whole arm caught in the net. \n6. Blocking serves is LEGAL. Lifts are LEGAL. Doubles are LEGAL. Diving lift/throws are LEGAL (to keep the play alive). Slight contact open hand tips are legal. Grabbing and throwing the ball as an attack is NOT ALLOWED. \n7. Games are played to 25\, win by 2. \n8. Have fun and be safe. The main goal is to get everyone together and have a great time playing volleyball! \n*buckets will be a set list to choose from*

Phoenix Beach is hosting a BYOT King of the Beach Coed 4s tournament to see who can bring IT! Put your squads together and let’s battle it out on the sand at RTO Sullivan’s!\nThink KOB format. Each team will play 6 games in 2 different pools! All game played to 21\, with no cap. After 6 games\, records will be tallied and the top 4 teams will make it to the finals to see who reigns supreme! Remember\, there’s no pool play! All games matter from the very first serve!\n\nCheck in – 6pm\nPlay starts at 630pm\n Cost is $160 per team\n\nWe are only taking the first 8 teams! With a full field\, our MASSIVE prize for ? will be AVP OPTX balls AND $160 cash! ? will get a custom Phoenix Beach Tshirt or Tank top and $80 cash.  With the custom shirts\, You get to pick the shirt\, logo\, and design the colors on the logo!
